The MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Network has once again been ranked as the world’s top master’s program in supply chain management and logistics, according to Eduniversal’s Best Masters Rankings for 2024/2025. This recognition marks the eighth consecutive first place ranking since 2016 and reaffirms MIT’s unparalleled leadership in supply chain education, research and practice.
Eduniversal evaluates more than 20,000 postgraduate programs worldwide each year, taking into account academic reputation, graduate employability and student satisfaction.
The MIT SCALE Network’s continued leadership reflects its commitment to promoting international diversity; providing project-based learning; and successfully developing a generation of supply chain leaders ready to take on global supply chain challenges.
Growing global networks with local influence
This year’s ranking coincides with the expanding global reach of the MIT SCALE network, epitomized by the recent announcement of the UK SCALE Centre at Loughborough University. The centre, which will welcome its first cohort in fall 2025, highlights MIT’s commitment to driving supply chain innovation and creating transformative opportunities for students and researchers.
The UK SCALE Centre joins a global community of centres in the network in the US, China, Spain, Colombia and Luxembourg that work together to provide world-class education and practical solutions that address critical supply chain challenges across industries, strengthening a global alumni base of more than 1,900 leaders representing over 50 countries.
“The opening of the UK SCALE Centre is a fantastic opportunity for Loughborough University to showcase our cutting-edge, data-driven, research-led approach to supporting the UK’s supply chain industry,” said Jan Godsell, Principal of Loughborough Business School. “Through projects such as the InterAct Network and our ‘Innovate Smarter’ and ‘Leading Digital Transformation’ programmes, we are providing businesses and industry professionals with vital training and cutting-edge insights into the future of the supply chain ecosystem. We are delighted to be able to further develop that knowledge with the launch of this new MSc in Supply Chain Management.”
Other MIT SCALE centers also emphasize the transformative impact of networks.
“The MIT SCALE network will provide NISCI students with the tools, expertise, and global connections to lead in today’s rapidly evolving supply chain environment,” said Jay Guo, director of the China Supply Chain Innovation Institute in Ningbo.
Susana Val, Director of the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC), highlighted the scope and impact of the program: “Over the past 21 years, ZLC has trained more than 5,000 logistics professionals from over 90 nationalities. We are proud of this recognition and look forward to continuing our partnership with the MIT SCALE network, upholding the rigor and quality that shapes our education.”
“Our students are really grateful that LCL is part of the SCALE network, as it gives them great experiences and many opportunities to make connections and broaden their horizons,” adds Benny Mantin, director of the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL), a native of Luxembourg.
The MIT SCALE network’s global presence and collaborative approach help define the organization’s mission to deliver transformative education and research to every corner of the globe.
A Legacy of Leadership
This latest recognition from Eduniversal highlights the MIT SCALE Network’s leadership in supply chain education. For more than 20 years, the school’s master’s programs have produced graduates ready to tackle pressing challenges across industries and geographies.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our faculty, researchers, and global partners to achieving excellence in supply chain education,” said Yossi Shefi, director of the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. “MIT SCALE Network graduates are applying their skills to solve challenges across every industry and every continent, and are a testament to the program’s impact.”
Maria Jesus Saenz, executive director of the MIT SCM Master’s program, emphasizes the power of the global alumni network: “The MIT SCALE network not only develops our graduates, it connects them to a community of global supply chain leaders. This powerful ecosystem fosters collaboration and innovation across borders, enabling our graduates to tackle some of the world’s most pressing supply chain challenges.”
Founded in 2003, the MIT SCALE network connects world-class research centers across multiple continents to offer leading master’s and executive programs that combine academic rigor with practical application. Our graduates are among the most sought-after professionals in the global supply chain industry.
