MKS Instruments Unveils Cutting-Edge Photonics Solutions for Customers at SPIE Photonics West 2025

Tear Laser

  •  A powerful nanosecond pulsed laser , the Spectra-Physics Talon  ®  Ace ™ UV100 laser delivers industry-leading >100 W UV power and >500 µJ power with TimeShift ™ programmable pulsing capabilities , enabling advanced materials process control and fine-tuning for high-speed micromachining.          
  •  Spectra-Physics’ IceFyre®   lasers deliverultrafast picosecond pulses at IR, green and UV wavelengths with energies up to 200 μJ, 10 MHz repetition rates and superior beam quality, enabling precise, high-throughput processing for optoelectronics, advanced electronics packaging and precision semiconductor applications.  
  •  Spectra-Physics IceFyre ®  FS lasers , a product line of ultrafast femtosecond lasers in IR and UV wavelengths, offer energies up to 200 μJ, repetition rates up to 50 MHz, and excellent beam quality, enabling precise, high-throughput processing for battery, high-resolution display, and demanding semiconductor applications.   
  • The Spectra-Physics Millennia   ®  EV ™  pumps the Matisse ®  C and WaveTrain ® 3D , laser systems tunable from DUV to near-infrared  , providing high power and narrow external linewidths, ideal for quantum research and quantum computing.               

Optics

  •  Newport ODiate®   fluorescence filtersare precision single-band optical filters for fluorescence imaging that are optimized to enhance signal quality, improve system sensitivity, and deliver imaging throughput consistent with key fluorescent chemistries. 
  • Newport Copy Freestanding Mirrors have industry leading repeatability in block mirror manufacturing, ensuring each mirror is an indistinguishable replica of the original. Ideal for analytical instruments, imaging systems, laser tracking and communications across a wide range of industries.

  • Newport’s TLS260B tunable light source  offers higher power and dual output options, and is pre-assembled and fully functional with a wide range of adjustments for a variety of applications.

  •   The Ophir  Helios Pro industrial laser power sensor measures high power industrial lasers up to 12 kW by measuring the energy during short exposure to this energy source. 
  •   The Ophir BeamSquared   ®  1203 Beam Propagation Analyzer is a compact, fully automated M2 analyzer for 900-1700 nm lasers . It easily measures the propagation of pulsed and CW lasers with spot sizes up to 150 um.       
  •   Ophir   The BeamSquared SP204S-Pro Beam Propagation Analyzer delivers unparalleled accuracy with a fully automated M2  propagation analyzer . Designed for CW or pulsed lasers from 266 to 1100 nm. This advanced tool ensures accurate caustic measurements and detailed astigmatism analysis. 
  •   Ophir   SP204S CMOS Beam Analyzer Camera , a high resolution laser beam analyzer camera capable of accurately measuring focal spots down to 27 µm. High frame rates, wide dynamic range and advanced BeamGage®  software provide an accurate depiction of laser parameters. 
  •   The Ophir  SP402 Large Format Beam Analyzer Camera is a high-resolution laser beam analyzer camera with a large 1.1″ sensor format, providing excellent measurement accuracy and wide dynamic range. It accurately analyzes laser beams from focal spots as small as 27 µm to beams as wide as 12 mm. 
  •   The Ophir 70 KW High Power Meter , Water-Cooled Energy/Thermal Laser Sensor is designed for extremely high power with a 130mm aperture for demanding industrial and defense applications. 
  •   The Ophir 150 KW High Power Meter , Water-Cooled Energy/Thermal Laser Sensor is designed for very high power with a 200mm aperture for demanding industrial and defense applications. 
  •   The Ophir 20 KW-BB-55 High Power Sensor is a water-cooled energy/thermal laser sensor designed for high power with a 55mm aperture for demanding industrial and defense applications. 
  • Incorporating a spherical silicon sensor, Newport’s 819-SL-06-WL optical power and wavelength sensor simultaneously measures power and wavelength from 400 to 1100 nm up to 1 W in free space and fiber optic interconnect applications.

Move

  •  Newport HybrYX   TM  Single Plane Air Bearing XY Hybrid Stage It offers the benefits of a single-sided gas detector at a much lower cost than traditional gas detectors, and is ideal for semiconductor wafer inspection systems as well as for use in large substrate processing and inspection tools.
  • Newport Parallel Robot for W2W (wafer-to-wafer) hybrid bonding for sub-micron pad bonding . Optimized for through-silicon bonding using limited XY movement with ±100 nm repeatability and ±10 nm XY stability (30 seconds) during bonding using an IR camera. Another version with similar specifications is available with an extended Y-Move platform, enabling off-axis surface referencing/alignment and precise bond position alignment for 300 mm wafers.
