DELO Unveils New High-Speed Light Curing Lamp for Small Areas

DELO Industrial Adhesives introduces its latest light-curing product, the DELOLUX 30. It replaces the successful DELOLUX 80 series lamps and aims to further improve on the highly customizable light-curing capabilities of its predecessor.

The main features of the DELOLUX 30 curing lamp include   a higher peak intensity of  up to 22.5 watts/cm2  as well   as increased homogeneity of the intensity distribution. The result is faster stabilization and a more stable final bond, increasing production efficiency and yield as well as product quality in real-world applications. The cylindrical lamp head, 80 mm high and 30 mm in diameter, is connected to a 450 mm flexible flat cable.

DELOLUX 30 is available in wavelengths of 365, 400 and 460 nm, each offered in one of two configurations. The first is a versatile package that includes other essential equipment including integrated water cooling and a control unit. The latter is a stand-alone lamp head that users or machine integrators can add with the appropriate equipment of their choice to seamlessly integrate into new or existing production lines.

DELOLUX 30 has many end uses, including LED packaging, where the lamp head can be positioned to emit light above the lens. Here, with higher peak intensity, exposure time is reduced, resulting in increased efficiency. In the automotive sector, the lamp can also be used in chip encapsulation processes. When combined with other DELO process technologies (i.e. in-stream activation), the time saved by each of these factors can help streamline the pot-cap process and further increase production.
